Welcome to www.uw-critters.de, the website with the most colourful Nudibranchs, the most groovy Ghostpipefishes and the wildest Seahorses.

'Critters' originally means creatures or monsters in movies and comic strips. Underwater it merely designates rare and often well camouflaged marine animals which are sometimes hard to discover.

All underwater photos which are published on this website were taken by myself during a five year lasting underwater photo journey in Indonesia and Thailand.

Some photos are showing rare and partially still undescribed species, others couldn't be determined clearly yet. Helping hints and recommendations are always welcome.
